Obituary for Joan D. Schulz

Joan D. Schulz
Joan D. Schulz, 75 of Monmouth Beach, died on May 16, 2017 at Brighton Gardens at Middletown. Born in Red Bank she was a life resident of Monmouth Beach. Joan was a crossing guard in Monmouth Beach and a parishioner of Roman Catholic Church of the Precious Blood.

She was predeceased by her husband, John A. Schulz in 1990. Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, John and Kelly Schulz; her daughter and son-in-law, Debby and Marty Mantell; 4 grandchildren, Melissa, John Miles, Andrew and Matthew and her companion of 15 years, Joe Valenti.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, May 21 from 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave., (corner of Third Ave.) in Long Branch. Funeral, Monday; 9:30 am from the funeral home with a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated at 10:30 am at Precious Blood Church, Monmouth Beach. Interment will follow at Woodbine Cemetery in Oceanport. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Monmouth Beach Fire Company, 24 Beach Road, Monmouth Beach, NJ 07750 or Monmouth Beach First Aid, 26 Beach Road, Monmouth Beach, NJ 07750. The family invites you to leave a letter of condolence, light a memorial candle or make a memorial donation by selecting the appropriate tab.
