Condolence: You probably don't remember me, but I was the company clerk at the 50th AG Co. I worked with the Abline brothers who I am sure you do know. I remember your great sense of humor and your compassion. You always asked us at Ft Drum whether we got the bocce ball court up. You worked hard for the military retirees and gave great speeches at the Ft Monmouth Military Appreciation Day.

RIP General and my condolences to your family.

Condolence From: MG Richard S. Schneider USA-Retired
Condolence: Dear Louise and family,
My deepest sympathy and sincere condolences on the recent passing of Vito. Having known Vito over thirty years, it was a great privilege to serve with him and under him while with the 50th Armored Div. He was a true professional, gave his utmost and highly respected commander at whatever level he commanded.
And is most deserving of full military honors as he answers his "last call".
RIP, General, you have served your country, state, and family well.

Condolence From: CSM Joseph Nolan
Condolence: To his wife and family, I know he left you memories for a lifetime. I served as Chairman of the Ft Monmouth Retiree Council and the General spent many hours preparing the annual Retiree Appreciation Day because it was his way of honoring those who had served. He was able with his leadership style to get the active Army to keep giving time, facilities and money to make sure our retirees had the very best day possible. He will be missed.
