Richard F. Atencio
Richard F. Atencio, age 82 of Oceanport, died Monday, December 11, 2017 at home. Richard was a salesperson for many years working for major companies in the local area. He served our Country honorably in the U.S. Airforce. Born in Walsenburg, CO, he had lived in Staten Island before moving to Oceanport 38 years ago. Richard was a parishioner of St. Michael’s Roman Catholic Church in West End.

He was predeceased by his brother Anthony Atencio. Surviving is his wife of 38 years, Patricia Atencio; his daughter Laura and his sister Norma.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 14, 2017 at St. Michael’s Church, 800 Ocean Ave., in West End, Long Branch at 12:00 noon. Entombment with Military Honors will follow at Woodbine Mausoleum in Oceanport. The family invites you to leave a letter of condolence, light a memorial candle or make a memorial donation by selecting the appropriate tab.
