Obituary for William H. "Bill" Scoles

William H. "Bill" Scoles
William H. “Bill” Scoles, age 94 of Long Branch, died Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at home. Born in Long Branch he was a life resident. William was a Systems Analyst at Fort Monmouth retiring in 1988. He served our Country honorably in the US Army Air Corps during WWII and was a life member of the VFW Post 2226, Oakhurst.

Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Muriel Scoles; two sons, Kevin Scoles and his wife Karen, John Scoles and his husband Rod; two daughters, Denise Knettler and her husband Paul, Michele Roussell and her husband Brian; a sister and brother in law, Marie and Walter Kooistra; five grandchildren, Ann, Drew, Ethan, Elizabeth and Katie and his great granddaughter Clara.

A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday from 2 pm until the time of the memorial service at 4 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Ave. in Long Branch. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to the VNA Health Group, 23 Main Street, Suite D1, Holmdel, NJ 07733. The family invites you to leave a letter of condolence, light a memorial candle or make a memorial donation by selecting the appropriate tab.
