Obituary for Georgia Mae Davis Wheeler
Georgia Mae Davis Wheeler, born in Seale Alabama, moved to Long Branch, New Jersey at 13 years old, born to John Henry and Addie Mae Davis ascended into eternity peacefully on January 30th, 2018 at her home in Long Branch.
Georgia attended the Long Branch school system and graduated in 1969 following graduation she was married to Carl Wheeler and two years later began her family. Together they had four children whom she showered with love; and most importantly began the journey of teaching her children life-long values.
Her love was contagious and anyone who came in contact with her instantly fell in love with her infectious personality. She dedicated her life to her God, Jehovah in 1979 and was a devout Jehovah’s Witness for over 40 years. Teaching her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren Christian principles. Her love and teaching went far beyond her family. She preached the word of God in the local area to all she could reach. Bringing people of all walks of life into a relationship with God. This was one of the greatest joys of her life.
She mastered the fascinating and beautiful journey of parent/grandparenthood. There is no such thing as perfection but she gave a love that was unconditional and therefore “imperfectly perfect.” Along the way although she learned so much about each of her children and grandchildren she used that knowledge to continue to learn more about herself. She was a special woman who never gave up on her children aiding, guiding, protecting, supporting and providing tough love. She was beautiful inside and out and loved her offspring unconditionally.
Throughout the years she managed to not only make an impact in three generations of her immediate family’s lives, but played a major part in her sisters, brothers nieces and nephew’s lives by being a friend, confidante and listening ear. She leaves to cherish her loving memories; mother Addie Williams, daughters, Carla Wheeler-Williams, Tracey Wheeler Cummings, sons Tyrone Wheeler and Ezra Wheeler Sr., daughter-in-law Shanel Wheeler, son-in-laws Kevin Williams and Todd Cummings Sr., Grandchildren, Todd Cummings Jr., Kosh Cummings, Ronald Gilliard, Josh-Shawn Cummings, Kera Crosby, Jaques Mackason, Ezra Wheeler Jr., Adrianna Tutt, Kyia Williams, Kadel Williams, Kevin Williams 2nd, Nevaeh Wheeler, Kareem Jordan, Zhahiem Spann, and Great-Grandchildren Kamryn Gillard, Asha Crosby-Brabham, Noelle Cummings, Naza- Norie Holley and Jailah and Lailani Jordan, seven sisters, Virginia Daniels, Addie Brooks (Jimmy), Gloria Parker (Anthony), Mary Banks, Rosemary Jackson (Raymond), Stephanie Johnson (Lamar), Wyena Bacon (Michael); four brothers, John Davis, Jr., Jimmy Davis (Deevy), Roosevelt Davis (Jacinta) and Robert Williams and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
