Angel Luis Acevedo
Angel Luis Acevedo passed away on April 13, 2018 at Monmouth Medical Center in Long Branch. He was 58 years old. A lifelong New Jersey resident, Angel was a wonderful and loving family man. Angel is survived by his wife of 27 years, Nadine Elizabeth Janssen Acevedo and their children Armando, Alexander and Christopher. In addition, he is survived by his children Angel Jr., and Ariana Acevedo through his former partner Aracelia Torres; his granddaughter Aliya Irula; his mother Juana Acevedo; his sisters Maribel and Mima; his brother Frederico Acevedo and his many nieces and nephews. Angel was predeceased by his father Armando Acevedo and his sister Annie Acevedo.
Angel’s many loves include spending time with his extended family, fishing and crabbing, bike riding and walking Ellie, the family dog. Angel loved to laugh and shared his great sense of humor with everyone around him. He was happiest when making others laugh and feel joy. Angel was the Leading Supervisor at Monmouth Medical Center for 38 years and also working as a housekeeper at Jersey Shore Medical Center for 22 years. His co-workers at both positions remember him as hard-working, dedicated, diligent and very positive. He had a special relationship with each of his co-workers.
A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, April 20 from 5 pm until the time of the service at 7:30 pm at the Damiano Funeral Home, 191 Franklin Avenue in Long Branch. Letters of condolence may be sent through the web at www.damianofuneralhome.com.
