Obituary for Albert N. Molinari

Albert N. Molinari, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on December 2, 2018 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Albert was born in Neptune, New Jersey, the son of the late Nicholas and Nancy (Percello) Molinari. He graduated from the Stevens Institute of Technology, after which he embarked on a very successful and distinguished career as an engineer for AT&T Bell Laboratories. Albert held numerous positions during his tenure working for AT&T, with assignments in telecommunications network engineering, data collection systems for missile weapons systems, and various special projects supporting high profile government and military programs. He also served his country as an enlisted service member in the U.S. Army, both on active duty and in the Reserves.

Albert was an avid runner, enjoyed traveling and had a passion for the arts. He was a frequent visitor of all the major museums and galleries in the Washington, DC area while living there and, upon relocating back to New Jersey a few years ago, he took full advantage of all that New York City had to offer in this regard. He was always excited to share the details of his latest excursion. Most of all, he enjoyed and cherished his friends and family, with whom he regularly visited or kept in touch with. Albert had a great sense of humor and always greeted you with a smile. He had an easy-going, positive attitude about everything and always took a sincere and genuine interest in those around him, whether you were a long-time friend or someone he just met.

Albert was predeceased by his lifelong companion Malissa Whittington and is survived by his sister Frances (Molinari) Crotty, his nieces Debora (John) Bonello, Kathleen (Rick) Guibord, Lynn (Gregg) Murgia, his great-nieces Kristin and Heather Bonello and Nicole and Melissa Murgia, and many other dear friends and relatives.

At his request, he will be placed to rest in a private ceremony at Arlington National Cemetery.
