George Blondek, 86, of West Long Branch, New Jersey, passed away on March 11, 2024. Born in Long Branch on September 19, 1937, he was a loving father, companion and grandfather, a true Craftsman, and avid fisherman and camper.
George served in the US Army and was a Maintenance Supervisor for Frank Antonides School in West Long Branch for over 27 years , retiring in 1994. He was a graduate of Long Branch High School. He enjoyed being with his family. He had a love for boating, fishing & camping. He enjoyed traveling to Lancaster, PA and going to Bally's in Atlantic City to play the slots with his companion Estelle for many years. He could build anything and was always busy with projects. One of his most favorite past times was fishing at Swimming River.
He was preceded in death by his parents Victor and Anna, brother Victor, and sister Jean. He is survived by his sons Kenneth, Chris (Tina), Brian (Michele) and grandsons Jacob, Ian, Noah, Braden, and granddaughter Amanda, his companion Estelle Pingitore of 40 years, and former wife and mother of his children Judy Blondek. He is also survived by his private- live in caretaker Maame for over the past 3 years whom took exceptional care of him. The family is forever grateful to her and cannot thank her enough.
George will always be remembered for his great sense of humor and generosity.
